There’s something about cafés that we, millennial’s, can’t help but get ourselves attracted to. In this article, we’ll dissect the possible underlying factors why we love cafe’s and how it’s affecting and influencing our personal preferences.
The city wouldn’t be sophisticated and beautiful if it weren’t for the wide variety of cafés laying around. Having a favorite go-to coffee shop slowly becomes part of our weekly to even daily routines. However, it’s also a norm to want to try out something different when there’s a new shop in town.
Given the fact that most operating cafés offer Wi-Fi connections which is what some are after, others, like millennial’s, favor cafe’s as a social hub catering to their group studies, weekend hangouts, or simply as a place to spend ‘me time’. Little did we know that there are also other underlying factors that affect our preference.

Location
Wherever we reside, there’s that one café that’s accessible to us, a place where we can idle around or stop by for a cup of goodness before dashing to work. It’s no wonder why in one block we see several cafés lined up or sitting right next to each other. That way, we get a variety of cafés to choose from when we feel like exploring a bit more of taste.
Interior Design
Seeing a Pinterest board come to life is always an amazement because it’s not something you see or wake up to every day. Sitting in a cafe that is beautifully designed is something we also look forward to. We can’t help but take our phones out and snap an instagrammable photo right away.
Ambiance
The kind of vibe that speaks to our personality will depend not only on the interior design of the café but on its overall ambiance: whether it gives us the peace of mind to study, a chill vibe to hang out with friends, or our personal escapade to enjoy some ‘me time’ within the urban jungle.
Drink selection
Of course, let’s not forget our most favorite part, drinks. A regular cup of brewed coffee or a large cup of mocha frappe topped with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles does the trick. It just makes our moment at the café more memorable and special.
